August 1, 2023 – UB Guest House
On August 1, 2023, the Website Team of the Biosystems Engineering Department, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Brawijaya (UB), conducted a training themed “Effective Website Management” at UB Guest House. The event, which took place from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM, aimed to provide knowledge and skills to the newly-formed website team in managing a website effectively and contributing more effectively to the academic community at UB.
The training program commenced with a warm welcome address from Dr. Dwi Setiawan, the Head of the Website Team of the Biosystems Engineering Department, FTP UB. He expressed his hopes that this training would enhance the team’s understanding of overall website management and enable them to make significant contributions in providing useful information to the university’s website users.
The training was supported by an experienced speaker, Rudy Hermawan, A.md., who has a profound background in website management, WordPress, and the common challenges faced in website administration. In his sessions, Rudy Hermawan provided detailed insights into website introduction, the functionality of WordPress as one of the leading website platforms, and offered solutions to various issues that commonly arise in website management. One of the highlights of this training was the hands-on practice session, where participants were given the opportunity to create a simple website using the WordPress platform. This practical session aimed to provide in-depth understanding and assist participants in mastering the fundamental steps of website management.
By participating in this training, it is hoped that the Website Team of the Biosystems Engineering Department, FTP UB, will become better prepared to face potential challenges in managing the university’s website. Furthermore, it is anticipated that the contributions and information presented through the university’s website will be of higher quality and relevance to the entire academic community at UB. May this training bring sustainable benefits and inspire the website team to continuously innovate in delivering the best information and services to UB website users.
