Thursday, June 8, 2023 – The Department of Biosystem Engineering, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Brawijaya, organized a guest lecture with the theme “Management of Hazardous and Toxic Waste (B3)”. The event took place at the faculty’s auditorium and was attended by 118 enthusiastic Environmental Engineering students.

The guest lecture featured a competent speaker in the field, Dr. Ir. Haruki Agustina, M.Sc, the director of Contaminated Land Rehabilitation and Emergency Response for B3 and Non-B3 Waste (PSLB3) from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK).

During the guest lecture, Dr. Ir. Haruki Agustina, M.Sc shared insights and knowledge about the management of Hazardous and Toxic Waste (B3). The Environmental Engineering students gained up-to-date information about the efforts to handle Hazardous and Toxic Waste and Non-Hazardous and Toxic Waste, which are crucial issues concerning environmental sustainability.

This activity is part of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology’s efforts to bring various perspectives from practitioners and academics, enriching the students’ understanding of complex environmental issues.
